Amanda A. Meader

Amanda has over two decades of experience advising municipal clients across the state. She spent the first seven years of her career in private Amanda Meaderpractice in Portland.  While working for one of Maine’s most prestigious law firms, Amanda gained extensive experience counseling municipalities, counties, utility districts and schools on a broad range of issues.  In 2011, Amanda left private practice and joined Maine Municipal Association, where she spent five years as a Staff Attorney.

Amanda’s experience includes assisting private clients, land trusts, non-profits and businesses on land use, zoning, real estate transactions, economic development and administrative law matters.

Amanda received her J.D. from Cornell Law School with honors for excellence in Public Interest Law, and her B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Bates College.

Active in the community, Amanda has served on numerous non-profit boards in the past twenty years, including the State of Maine Animal Welfare Advisory Council and the Boards of Pine Tree Legal Assistance, Avesta Housing, and the Annabessacook Lake Improvement Association. 

Born and raised in Fairfield, Maine, Amanda now resides in Winthrop with her husband, Derek and their three Belgian Malinois.
